Following successful negotiations, Republic of Ireland will play Switzerland in Dublin on Friday March 25th 2106 at Aviva Stadium in a friendly A International Match.

The game will represent the first meeting between the teams since 2005 and the 16th overall since their first match in 1935 with Ireland holding a slight advantage with seven wins.

Switzerland (FIFA Rank 12) and FIFA World Cup Quater Finalists automatically qualified for UEFA  Euro 2016 last month and the match VS Republic of Ireland will represent ideal preparation for the finals in France next summer.
