Northern Ireland to face UEFA Euro 2020 Finalists Turkey & Ukraine in May and June
Following successful contract negotiations Northern Ireland will face Turkey and Ukraine in Friendly A International Matches this summer.
Ian Baraclough's side will play against Turkey in Antalya on Monday 31st of May before playing Ukraine in Kiev on Thursday 3rd of June.
Turkey qualified as Runners Up from Group H losing only one match in eight to Iceland away. At Euro 2020 they will face Italy, Wales and Switzerland.
Ukraine meanwhile won Group B in qualification ahead of Portugal, Serbia, Luxembourg and Lithuania. This summer they will face Holland, Austria and North Macedonia.
This will be the first meeting between Turkey and Northern Ireland since November 2013 in Adana (also brokered by Milenio Sports). Ukraine and Northern Ireland of course played out a famous match in Northern Irish Football history at UEFA Euro 2016 finals in Paris where Northern Ireland emerged 2-0 winners with goals from Gareth McAuley and Niall McGinn.
